What is Fear?

As I was praying in the spirit this date July 10, 2002, I heard the word fear and questions about fear. I picked up my pen and recorded the following from the Holy Ghost.

"Fear! What is fear? Is fear good or bad? What is the greatest fear Christians have today? Why do Christians have a fear of death?"

This is what the Lord spoke— “Fear is the unknown caused by a lack of knowledge. Fear can be good and bad. Fear of Me and obeying Me can save your soul from Hell. Fear is bad for those who walk not with Me, but for the pleasures of this world. Christians are in fear for the loss of their possessions they have and are accumulating in the world. They fear sickness and disease. They fear pollution is killing them. They speak of these fears among one another. Their biggest fear of all is death of their flesh and blood bodies.

They live in fear and die in fear because of lack of knowledge. They have chosen gold and silver over knowledge and wisdom. Their days are shortened and their greatest fears come to pass. But those who have entered into My Kingdom and walk and commune with Me in the spirit know My truths and have love and peace, for they abide in My shadow and I supply all their needs daily. They praise and give testimony to My working in their lives.

I defeated death on the cross. I suffered on the cross sickness and disease. By My death on the cross, you are dead to sin and disease of the devil. He is powerless for those who have My Fathers gift. For to them the keys are given of the Kingdom, to loosen and bind what is in heaven and on earth.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. What fruit are you eating from? There is no need to speak death. Speak life. Fear Me and not the world and it pleasures. Those who are seeking the world first and Me second without My power are weak and the devil devours you with sin and disease. Those who seek Me first and reject My power because of lack of knowledge or denying My power because you have been told it is of the Devil, you are also devoured by the devil with sin and disease. Without My power you cannot experience the things of the world to come and know Me intimately. With My power you will have no fear of death for you will have already died and gained your life, if you are one with Me as I am one with the Father. You will know your home is not on this earth but with Me. Daily you would seek Me and prepare yourself to receive your salvation with no fear; only rejoicing and looking forward to that day.

Fear is of the devil. If you have fear of death, you have Me not, for you have not truth and love. Lay up heavenly treasures and not earthly treasures. Then you will be overcomers and remain faithful until the end to receive all the rewards laid up in heaven for you. And while you will walk on this earth until that day of salvation, you will have victory over sin and disease. I defeated the Devil and your job is to keep him defeated. You battle is not the physical things of the world, but principalities, powers and rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. With My power you have no fears and you will walk in victory. If you have fear, you have not My power and the devil is roaring about devouring you with fear, sickness and sin.

How much longer are you going to walk in fear? Desire the pure spiritual milk and crave the strong meats and move to maturity. No longer be baby Christians with the fear of death upon you. As with all things it is a choice. In love, truth and peace chose life with Me. I come. I tarry not.”
